When Fashion and Medicine Meet

TLM Foot-Knee-Back-Arm Orthotics Center specialises not just in treating diseases, but preventing them as well - with fashion in mind. It has, over the last 20 years, treated over 20,000 patients aged from two to 89 years old. The centre’s core business is to provide medical treatment for foot, knee, back and arm pain in the musculoskeletal system and aims to alleviate the discomfort experienced by patients by recommending orthotic insoles and shoes to promote full recovery. It is crucial that children receive treatment before they are 10 years old to prevent them from developing musculoskeletal system conditions such as scoliosis, bow legs, knock knees, hammer toes and bunions when they reach adulthood. According to TLM, its footwear has been proven to improve children's participation in physical activities and their performance during their Physical Education classes.

For adults, especially those aged 40 years old and above, an increase or decrease in foot size from two to four sizes indicates positive treatment results. Body structure and posture will also improve. About TLM TLM Foot-Knee-Back-Arm Orthotics Center provides specialised services for people with foot, knee and back pain stemming from musculoskeletal system conditions. The Center recommends using their unique and exclusive insole and footwear.

Through various years of research, TLM has developed a matured and successful system to combine medicine with fashion.

The Ministry of Health defines an orthotist as someone part of a multi-disciplinary health team who cares for patients requiring specialised mechanical devices (orthoses) to support or supplement weakened or abnormal joints and limbs. Orthoses enable the body to move more easily, and can prevent or reduce pain. No medication, injections and surgery are required. Treatment can be in the form of a brace, splint or orthotic insoles or shoes.
