TLM Orthotic Footwear & Insoles
At TLM Foot-Knee-Back-Arm Orthotic Center, orthotic footwear & insoles form the bedrock of treatment. These medical devices are designed to treat musculoskeletal conditions by restoring the body's biomechanical alignment to its ideal state. This is achieved by channeling ground reaction force (the force exerted by the ground on a body in contact with it) to act on the feet and lower body, initiating a self-correcting process as the body responds to the force.
Each pair of orthotic footwear & insoles are individually designed and crafted specifically for their wearer by our orthotist. They have clinically proven to reduce various musculoskeletal pain and deformities when paired with the centre's prescribed exercises according to each patient's condition(s).

The TLM Difference
Fig. TLM's unique orthotic treatment uses orthotic footwear & insoles to treat a range of musculoskeletal conditions.
No two individuals should be fitted with the same orthotic device (footwear or insole). Individual factors like the wearer's foot and overall musculoskeletal structure, gait, treatment goals etc. have to be taken into account when designing and prescribing orthotic devices. While off-the-shelf shoe inserts may provide temporary relief for those afflicted with foot pain, they are unable to delay or reverse the progression of musculoskeletal conditions as they do not take into account individual factors mentioned above.
At TLM, you will receive the best orthotic care available in the region. Our orthotist with more than 20 years of experience oversees the entire process - from examination, taking of foot molds, orthotic design and manufacturing - to ensure every pair of orthotic footwear & insoles is most suitable for their wearer and of the highest quality.
Our orthotic insoles work their magic best when paired with our orthotic footwear — insoles pushing the bottom of the foot while the footwear binds from above. Together, they will coax the various joints of the foot back to the corrected position. Therefore, orthotic footwear is usually paired with orthotic insoles should you decide to take up treatment at the centre.
Each pair of orthotic footwear is made to order to ensure optimal treatment results. They are produced by our expert craftsman using the finest leather from the US and Korea to ensure comfort and durability. Our orthotist also oversees the entire manufacturing process — conducted entirely within our premises — so you are always in the capable hands of our orthotist.

Physical Examination & Grading
Before taking up any treatment at the centre, you have to be examined by our orthotist to determine the severity of your condition(s). You will be placed in 1 of 4 grades depending on the affected joint(s)' degree of deviation from the ideal position/alignment.
Precise measurements govern the grading of the patient's condition(s). As such, our orthotist will exercise sole discretion in determining the patient's severity grade during consultation.

Placing An Order
You may place an order with the centre following an examination by our orthotist. Usually 2-4 pairs of insoles are required for the entire treatment process. This is because each new pair of insoles is redesigned following changes to the structure of your feet and the biomechanical alignment of your body. Each redesign brings your body closer to its ideal alignment.
A 65% deposit will be collected when you place an order. Usually, orthotic insoles and footwear will be ready for collection in 10-15 working days. This is because most of the work is carried out manually.

In order for the treatment to succeed, you have to work closely with our orthotist throughout the treatment process. You will have to wear your orthotic insoles and footwear regularly and perform the exercises our orthotist prescribe. You will also have to come back to the centre for follow-up sessions so our orthotist can monitor your condition.
The centre reserves the right to unilaterally terminate your treatment prematurely if it is found that you are not making meaningful progress towards recovery because you are not following the instructions of our orthotist.
Please read the centre's terms & conditions carefully before taking up treatment with the centre.

While most patients can expect a full recovery wearing only the centre's orthotic footwear and insoles, some patients may need to be fitted with additional braces. Patients who have severe knee conditions often require a knee-ankle-foot orthosis (KAFO) in addition to their orthotic footwear and insoles while scoliosis patients often require a scoliosis brace.
If you are looking to be fitted with a custom-made brace, arrange for an consultation with our orthotist.
