TLM - A Centre of Excellence
TLM Foot-Knee-Back Arm Orthotics Center is an award winning medical centre providing revolutionary full-body orthotic treatments for patients of all ages with musculoskeletal pain.
We lead the industry in the prescription of orthotics to improve general health and well-being. Each and every pair of orthotic footwear and insoles produced at the centre is designed specifically for their wearer and in adherence to biomechanical principles. Only the best material is used so our patients can receive the cushioning and support that they need.
Our dedication to excellence and providing the best care to our patients has won us recognition locally and abroad, receiving a total of 14 awards between 2015 to 2020.
Orthotics - Supportive Medical Devices
While not many people are familiar with the field of orthotics in Singapore, orthotic devices are commonly available and many use them in their daily lives.
An orthotic device, also known as an orthosis, is an externally applied device used to modify the structural and functional characteristics of the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. An orthosis is designed and fitted to the body to achieve one or more of the following goals:
Support of correct musculoskeletal deformities
Support weakened joints
Control biomechanical alignment
Enchance or maintain mobility
Protect and support an injury
Knee braces, ankle braces, shoes inserts that can be purchased over the counter are some common orthoses we see and use in our everyday lives.

While cheaply available, most off-the-shelf orthoses cannot help those who are suffering from musculoskeletal conditions as they are not designed for the patient. Instead, those who are suffering from musculoskeletal conditions should seek out a professional orthotist.
Orthotist - Mechanic for your Body
An orthotist is a medical professional trained in the design and fitting of orthoses for patients. In order to design a suitable orthosis, an orthotist must have a solid understanding of how the body moves. As such, a good orthotist should have knowledge and experience working in various relevant medical fields.

TLM - Revolutionising Orthotics Treatment
The centre's unique orthotic footwear and insole treatment system was developed by the centre's founder and chief orthotist, Mdm. Li Ming to push the boundaries of the orthotic industry.
Originally an aerospace engineer, a chance encounter with the field of orthotics brought her on a journey through stints at various hospitals, as well as working with Gary R. Bledsoe, the founder of Bledsoe Brace Systems USA.
Her unique experience led her to believe that the design of orthoses can be greatly improved so they can be used as a form of non-invasive medical treatment rather than be used simply for holding and supporting injured joints.

TLM Foot-Knee-Back-Arm Orthotics Center's mission is to relieve pain and discomfort in the human musculoskeletal system, as well as setting the highest standard in the orthotics industry.
TLM Foot-Knee-Back-Arm Orthotics Center will be recognized as a model organization for service excellence and maintains a reputation for improving people’s health and their quality of life.
